Black Magic^® AirBlocks^® are the ultimate Big Boat blocks. They are constructed with Torlon^® roller bearings for high-load efficiency and excellent performance at rated loads.

Engineered to be lightweight, Black Magic^® AirBlocks^® have sculpted sideplates and thin-profile sheaves. Sideplate bosses mate the halves and support the head and inner race, thus eliminating heavy shear tubes.

The unique center cage rollers improve performance by reducing friction. Captive ball bearings improve side-load performance.

The black coating is not just for fashion. Full-saturation Hardkote anodizing prevents scratches and provides UV protection. Sideplates and sheave are Teflon^®-impregnated.

Black Magic^® AirBlocks^® are designed for easy maintenance. They can be disassembled with a single Alien wrench. They have few parts and no loose balls or rollers. The center cage allows dirt and salt to fall out between the rollers.

1. Deep Groove Sheave - No "climb-out" deep groove sheave has captive ball .bearings for side loads.

3. Isolated Fasteners - Plastic isolators prevent corrosion between fasteners and sideplates.

4. Unique Center Caged Rollers - The cage design ensures that rollers don't ride on the seam and keeps them parallel for efficiency.

5. Less Friction - The rollers are isolated for less friction than uncaged rollers. The ends don't touch the sideplates, and there is no contact between the bearings to cause friction.
