Complementary Hardware > Accessories

Accessories are useful items that complement the product line. Some pieces are designed to make standard blocks more versatile and others are small pieces that fill a special need.

Handhold

The 062 handhold is popular on boats like Solings and scows to help hiking crew re-enter the boat. It can also be used as a handle for engine covers, etc. It has drain holes.

Bullseye Fairlead

Use the 237 and 339 where there is little deflection in the line such as when routing a spinnaker pole foreguy aft along the cabin house.

Sail Chafe Protectors

Use these handy devices to ease genoas over lifelines or past shrouds and to help large roach mainsails clear backstays.

Prefeeder

Use with racing foils or with furling systems.

Hanging Tab

Suspend blocks from lifelines with shock cord. Tabs can be added to older Harken Big Boat and stainless steel blocks up to 4W (114 mm).

Snap Shackles

Snap shackles fit a wide variety of Small Boat and Midrange blocks and make them removable. Many use a snap shackle on the lower vang block so that it can be moved from the mastbase to the toerail to use it as a preventer.

Springs

Springs are used to support blocks on padeyes, eye-straps, bases and traveler cars. Keeps blocks from hitting the deck.

Dinghy Clew Hook

The 433 Dinghy Clew Hook is designed for Lasers^® and other loose-footed dinghies. It installs permanently on the boom and allows you to instantly attach your sail in high wind and waves.

Dinghy Vang Swivel

The 439 Dinghy Vang Swivel is perfect for small dinghies like Lasers^® It swivels freely under racing loads and allows you to adjust the vang while hiking outboard.

Stand-up Boots

Made of durable flexible PVC, standup boots hold blocks up without snagging lines. The 369 fits 40 mm and 57 mm Carbo and Black Magic^® blocks. The 370 fits 75 mm Carbo blocks.
