Travelers > CRX Roller Traveler
Our Roller Traveler made its debut aboard 16 of the 17 boats that competed in the 2000 America's Cup. The system performed without a hitch and we are pleased to offer this successful AC product in our production catalog. Jack Roeser of Otto Engineering in Carpentersville, Illinois developed the Roller Traveler Car. Our engineers put on the finishing touches. Harken was granted an exclusive patent license.
Our Roller Traveler is definitely user friendly. You can load and unload these cars without a worry in the world because rollers and balls are captive and simply can't escape! The Roller Traveler comes in a compact, high-strength, lightweight package. Torlon® roller bearings provide low-friction performance—even after months of the extreme loading you find in America's Cup and around-the-world racing. Control blocks attached to toggles help decrease the load on the car. Ball bearings handle compression loads and extreme off-vertical angles. Mini-Maxi cars are available with titanium couplers, toggles and cross pins.
Use production Roller Travelers with straight track only. Contact Harken for curved traveler applications. Use Big Boat End Controls 730,733,734 or 735. Use End Stop 548.
